Bloomberg Businessweek+ App Reviews

Needs fixes

Slow to open - which is really annoying when you want to do some quick reading. Issue has been downloaded so why the slow speed? Ads fire without being clicked. Happens often enough that it has to be by design. Not only annoying to the user but presumably misleading for the advertiser.

Annoying pop up ads

This used to be my standard for magazine apps but ever since they implemented the pop up ads in nearly every article, I find myself reaching out for the paper copy. To add insult to injury, its usually the same ad that greets you in every article, like that irritating mosquito that buzzes you in the face. The ad has your attention, but in the worse way. I still like this apps navigation system. Its still one of the few that gets it. I simply wonder about the breathtaking disconnect is on the pop up ads, as if someone was trying to sabotage the app.

Works most of the timedio

While it usually works well, it often is not available on time. Occasionally, the audio is not available at all. However, once there, it is easy to read and the audio is great while in the car. I am lowering the rating since the took away the audio. That is what differentiated it from the free sources of news.

Gotten slower recently

I like the content. But they need to improve the downloads and make it easier to close ads.

Great design

Editorial range is terrific. Balance between left/right, 1 percent/99 percent is admirable. Layout and navigation make it preferable to the print edition (usually). Isnt it time to get over complaining about pop up ads? This is America; media is ad supported. At least the ads are business oriented.

Love it

Great app when Im on the road!

great reporting

have subscribed for 15 years and the range and depth of coverage is at its best. the interstitials are annoying, and dont even serve the purpose of creating an impression for the advertiser because you close before it even loads. Ill give them a pass on that mobile 101 fumble because of the rich content.

Almost like a printed magazine

Ive been reading Businessweek for a long time and this app is nicely done and replicates a magazine very well. What doesnt work? The annoying way the ads pop up. In a print magazine an ad has to attract your attention with photos, clever copy or a predetermined interest on your part. These ads pop up, annoy you and really detract from the experience. I think they have the opposite effect of a good ad, they turn you off to a product or service. Fix the ads and you have a 5 star app.

Great app!

Great way to navigate the magazine on both iPad and iPhone. One of the better magazine apps.

Pop up ads too annoying

The same pop up ad appears before every article. I need to reach for the tiny x to dismiss it. Makes reading inconvenient and frustrating.

Review

Pop-up apps are truly annoying. I pay for Bloomberg and I dont appreciate the annoying pop-ups. The magazine is good but I wish they would have more articles on industry rather than what seems to be small business and IT.

Whats with the ads!?!?!?

Ive been a subscriber for years and think this is the best magazine app, but suddenly the pop up ads are everywhere! I pay for this subscription. Lose the ads!!

Amazing

A good read ! I believe that will suffice.

Bloomberg Businessweek

What a surprise this magazine was. It presents a variety of articles that are informative and easy to understand. Nothing boring about it as I was expecting from a business magazine.

Good presentation

They did a great job with the app on the iPad and iPhone. I read both it and the print version. Good layout, easy navigation. The only concern that I have is that the number of "article cannot be shared" messages seems to be on the rise.

Digital BW

The problem with the digital version is I am limited on the number of articles I can forward (e.g., two). There should be no limit. When I call for an answer no one can tell me why. Other periodicals have no limit. BBW should fix the problem.

Hate the pop up ads

I have been a business week reader for over 15 years and have had the online app since inception. Have loved the content, now with these pop up ads after every article are irritating and annoying. This is a premium subscription and we pay annually there is no need to bombard the reader with constant. If its part of the magazine we can flip past that is acceptable but to have it pop up and then find the "x" to close it is not acceptable. STOP this practice.

Perfect for travelers!

I love being able to access my Businessweek while on the road. App works great!

Great content!

I love the Bloomberg Businessweek app. The content is always great, and the navigation is the best. I love how it keeps your place in an article instead of making you have to search where you last were. The only thing I hate is is the adds!! Fix the add system and Ill give five stars!

So convenient, I love Bloomberg Businessweek and the up to date news it entails!

Love it
